05 — Questions
The MBA degree in International Business that we offer is designed to prepare you optimally for your job entry. With practical elements from the first semester on and up-to-date content, they are aligned to the requirements of the working world of tomorrow. All study programs contain modules to further develop your soft skills, such as financial management, cyber security, research methods, and communication & negotiation skills. Even if you come from abroad to study here, you can add international elements to your studies — the International Office is there to advise you about a semester abroad at a partner university or short excursions to other countries.
At HdWM you can study a full-time MBA in International Business and get insight into professional life at the same time. From the first semester on, our Career Network @ HdWM team will get you in touch with local and internationally operating companies through job fairs, guest lectures, or company visits, and offers individual job coaching to help you stand out. Classes only take place on 3-4 days per week, leaving you ample time for voluntary work experience. Please bear in mind that most German companies expect high proficiency in German from their applicants — to enhance your employability on the German job market, we offer German classes, e.g. in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Mannheim. If a full-time programme doesn't fit your life situation, we also offer the programme part-time, at no extra tuition cost.
The close cooperation with businesses is a cornerstone of our study model and offers advantages for companies, the university, you as a student, and alumni alike: you gain valuable practical experience already during your MBA, HdWM optimizes the quality of its studies, and companies can attract young talent. The HdWM network partners are comprised of multinational corporations and associations as well as start-ups and small or medium-sized enterprises — all offering excellent career, networking, and advancement opportunities.
