We will put together an individual study plan for you. Your study period will be extended individually, but you will not pay a cent more than the standard period of study.
Studying with part-time work
All master's programmes are ideal for part-time work, with only 2.5 days of study per week. The bachelor's programmes also take place on only 3-4 days per week.
Integrating practical experience
1-3 days off in every degree programme; practical semester, case studies, and thesis in a company; use lecture-free time to gain work experience.
Part-time study for the baking trade
A part-time degree programme, B.A. Business Management with a specialization in Bakery Management.
Costs
€335-690 per month. Credits you've already earned can be applied to your HdWM degree, which reduces the length of your studies and also your tuition fees. In Detail

How to combine studying and working

Individual part-time study

Tailor your studies to your needs: with a part-time degree programme, you can study individually while working. We will put together a personalized study plan for you with fewer courses. This will extend the duration of your studies, but you will only pay tuition fees for the courses you attend, not for the length of the programme — so you will not pay more than you would for a degree programme completed within the standard period of study.

Part-time studies leave you enough time for your professional activities. This option is particularly suitable if you have been working for a long time, as it allows you to secure your job and continue your education without having to change or leave it. Part-time study is also ideal for balancing family life, caring for relatives, or pursuing a sports career alongside your studies.

Studying while working part-time

Master's programmes in particular can be easily combined with (part-time) employment. Classes are concentrated into 2.5 days per week, so you don't have to leave your job to study. You can also work alongside your studies in the bachelor's programme.

How can you combine regular studies and work?

The core idea behind our degree programmes is to prepare you specifically for your career start. That is why we have integrated practical elements into the curriculum from the very first semester. In addition to practical elements such as the internship semester, case studies, or the final thesis in a company, HdWM gives you enough freedom to gain further practical experience on a voluntary basis. Each degree programme includes days kept free for you to use as you wish — from one to three days, depending on the semester and programme. The lecture-free period between semesters can also be used for full-time work, for example as a working student. Our Career Network @ HdWM brings you together with our HdWM network partners during your studies, making it easier for you to start your career.

Study alongside your job for the bakery trade

We have a very special offer for skilled workers in the baking trade that is unique in Germany: a part-time degree programme in bakery management. This specialization of the B.A. Business Management degree was developed specifically for full-time professionals and prepares you for management positions in the bakery industry. Class times are tailored to the needs of the industry, allowing you to study and work optimally. Through evening and weekend classes, you will earn an academic qualification that opens up new career opportunities, such as opening your own bakery or taking over a business.
