Prof. Dr. Geoffrey K. Writes is Professor of Finance and International Business with more than 28 years of international experience in both industry and higher education. He earned his PhD from the University of Surrey (UK), holds MBA and BScBA degrees from City University of Seattle (USA), and completed the IATA Diploma in Airline Business Operations through the Lufthansa School of Business.
Before entering academia, he held senior professional roles with leading international organizations, including the European Central Bank (ECB), Lufthansa, Evonik, Bank of America, Verizon and GlaxoSmithKline. He has also taught at numerous universities across Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
His teaching and research focus on finance, accounting, economics, international business, strategy, and business analytics. At HdWM, he combines extensive corporate experience with academic excellence to prepare students for leadership roles in today's global business environment.
