As a student in any bachelor's or master's degree program, you can benefit from an optional career development program: Career Consulting at HdWM.

If you want to prepare yourself optimally for your career start alongside your studies, you have the opportunity to go through three phases: orientation phase, application phase, and onboarding. In all phases, you will be supported by the Career Consulting Team at HdWM.

• We will accompany you during your probationary period at a partner company or other organization.

Our career consulting services are rounded off by our career dialogues. Successful HdWM graduates and exciting company representatives give you concrete insights into areas such as human resources and provide tips for successful career planning.

Find your future employer while you are still studying. The Career Network @ HdWM will help you do just that. Get to know different companies at trade fairs, during your working student job, internships, or as part of project work and theses.

Always helps when you need special resources for your studies. Students with various impairments and disabilities (physical disabilities, mental and cognitive illnesses, special circumstances that can make studying difficult) receive individual counseling, support, and a wide range of assistance at HdWM so that you can successfully complete your studies. With the Teaching Library, we have created a comprehensive range of events for you that will improve your information and media literacy during your studies. In addition to classic library tours, we offer introductions to literature research, the correct use of databases, and exercises in academic writing. The aim is to teach you the skills you need to find, evaluate, and process information.

As a doctor of educational psychology, relaxation teacher, and group leader, I will accompany you on your personal learning journey throughout the semester and during the exam phase(s). In addition to the central workshops, I am available for individual consultation hours.

The learning community

Learning communities are key to successful and motivating learning during your studies! That is why the various workshops are held in a fixed learning group, which is formed at the beginning of the semester by the learning advisor (or at the request of the participants). In addition, self-organized meetings in your learning community should take place as a bridge between the central workshops.
